Delhi

Varanasi
The oldest living city in the world, Varanasi is one of the seven sacred cities of the Hindus. More than a million pilgrims visit each year.
Bodhgaya
Bodhgaya is the site of Buddha’s enlightenment. The focal point of Bodhgaya and one of the most revered sites in Buddhism is the Mahabodhi Maha Vihara, built on the site where Buddha gained enlightenment more than 2,500 years ago, now honoured as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Rajgir
Rajgir is an important site of pilgrimage where the Buddha delivered several famous teachings. It is also the site of the First Buddhist Council which convened the year following Buddha’s death. The city is also an important place for Jains, as the Mahavira spent time here and the hills are topped with Digambara shrines.
Nalanda
Nalanda was one of the World’s great Universities and most important Buddhist centers founded in the 5th Century AD. During its peak in the 7th century AD, Nalanda was home to over 10,000 monks and scholars. Visit the Great Stupa built on Shariputra’s relics, extensive monastic ruins and the Archaeological Museum housing finds from Nalanda and Rajgir.
Vaishali
Vaishali was the capital and place where the Buddha ordained his stepmother as the first nun and where monkeys miraculously offered the Buddha honey. One can observe an intact Ashokan Pillar dating back to the 3rd century BC at this place.
Kushinagar
An important Buddhist pilgrimage site, where Gautama Buddha attained Parinirvana after his death.
On arrival at Delhi airport, you will be met by our representative who will escort you to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel and rest of the day for relax. In the evening you may explore nearby places on your own. (Meal Plan :N/A)
Start your sightseeing by visit Buddhist Vihara, Mandir Marg inaugurated in 1931. Lotus temple, Old Delhi rickshaw ride and drive past through Red Fort, Jama masjid, spice market, Gold/Silversmith market etc. We will end our day with visit to Qutub Minar. (Meal Plan :N/A)
Fly to Varanasi. Take a tour for evening Aarti - the final ritual of the day when thousands of locals and pilgrims gather together to offer their prayers to the Mother Ganges. (Meal Plan :N/A)
Take an early morning boat ride to view the sunrise. Observe the Hindu way of life along the banks of the river Ganges. Excursion to Sarnath where lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Drive to Bodhgaya (Meal Plan :N/A)
Visit Bodhi tree, Chaukramana, the jewel Walk, where it is believed that the Buddha strolled while in deep thought. Also visit Shaivite Monastery and famous Jagganath Temple. (Meal Plan :N/A)
Dive to Patna. En route visit Rajgir - the place where Buddha meditated and preached. Nalanda - is known for its Archaeological Complex and Museum. After visit, commence drive to Patna. (Meal Plan :N/A)
Drive to Kushinagar. Enroute visit Vaishali known for Buddha Stupas, Ashoka Pillar and Bawan Pokhar Temple (Meal Plan :N/A)
Visit Kushinagar the place of Mahaparinirvana. Afternoon, drive to Lumbini - the birth place of Prince Siddhartha who later became the Buddha. Over 2000 years ago the emperor Ashoka set up here a commemorative pillar. (Note: Nepal Visa required to visit Lumbini) (Meal Plan :N/A)
