Delhi
India’s capital and a major gateway into the country, contemporary Delhi is today a truly cosmopolitan city that juxtaposes modern and traditional with a graciousness that is her very own unique heritage.
Leh
Capital of Ladakh, Leh, dotted with numerous stupas and colourful bazaars, has a unique culture and lifestyle that reflects a slower, meditative Buddhist pace. Experience moonscape country and breathe some very fresh air at an altitude of 11,000 feet.
Nubra Valley
Nubra is a high-altitude cold desert with the Siachen glacier lying to the north and Karakoram Pass lying in the northwest of the valley. The region receives very scanty rainfall and, as such, has sparse vegetation only along the river beds. The valley is famous for its pristine natural beauty, stunning lakes, beautiful villages, apricot orchards, ancient monasteries.
Pangong
The foremost thing to see at Pangong Tso Lake is its beauty, you just can’t get enough of it. The mountains, with their gradual slopes which meet the deep blue meditatives waters of the lake, is a sight that remains lodged in your memory for a long time. The Lake is a breeding ground for different types of birds, including migratory ones.
Khardung La
Khardung La is an important gateway to the Nubra and Shyok Valley in the Ladakh region. It is 39kms by road North of Leh and is at a height of 18,380ft from the sea level. It offers amazing views of the valley and the roads winding up the mountain. Khardung La is historically important as it lies on the major caravan route from Leh to Kashgar in Central Asia.
On arrival at Delhi airport, you will be met by our representative who will escort you to the aero city hotel. Check-in at the hotel and rest of the day for relax. In the evening you may explore nearby places on your own. Meal Plan :Yes
After breakfast, you will be provided drop to the Delhi airport to connect flight for Leh. On arrival at Leh airport you will be picked by our airport representative followed by drop at hotel. Rest of the day is free time for acclimatization. Meal Plan :Yes
Today we visit Hall of Fame War Museum – a museum constructed by the Indian Army in memory of the brave Indian soldiers who laid down their lives defending the motherland in the Indo-Pak wars, Patthar Sahib Gurudwara - a beautiful Gurudwara sahib constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, Magnetic Hill – also known as Gravity Hill where vehicles defy the force of gravity, Sangam of the rivers Indus & Zanskar – two of Himalaya's great rivers; Zanskar and Indus merge to form a spectacular view. Proceed to Nubra Valley via Khardung La - the world’s highest motorable pass. Nubra valley - the Shyok River meets the Siachen River to form this large valley separating the Ladakh and Karakoram ranges. Upon arrival we visit we visit Diskit monastery – oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in Nubra valley. Later we visit Hunder Village and Cold desert - the only place in India where twin humped camels is found. Meal Plan :Yes
Drive to Pangong Tso, also known as Pangong Lake - one of the world's highest saltwater lakes. The most notable feature of this lake are its ever-changing hues. The lake acts as an important breeding ground for a large variety of migratory birds like Brahmani Ducks, Rare black necked cranes and Seagulls. Meal Plan :Yes
After breakfast visit Shey Palace – used to be the summer retreat of the royal family of Ladakh, Sindhu Darshan - one of the longest rivers in Asia, Rancho School - also known as Druk White Lotus school, Photo stop at Thiksey monastery. Later, we visit Shanti Stupa – built by the Japanese monks to promote world peace. In the evening, visit Leh market for shopping of Ladakh handicrafts, jewellery and Ladakhi organic dry fruits. After breakfast, visit Leh palace which was a former royal palace overlooking the city of Leh. After the visit, you will be provided drop to the Leh airport to connect flight for Delhi and onwards journey Meal Plan :Yes
